Fjellhaus studio
How people experience spaces, systems, and organizations
Fjellhaus is an advisory studio that helps organizations understand what’s working, identify what’s getting in the way, and improve how work and experiences happen in practice.
Fjellhaus (pronounced FYELL-house)
Fjellhaus is built on a belief that how something is designed to work and how it is actually experienced are rarely the same thing. We look closely at that space between intention and reality: how people move through a place, navigate a system, experience a service, or get work done. It is often there that friction becomes visible, assumptions are challenged, and opportunities for meaningful improvement emerge. Our work sits at the intersection of operations, experience, and behavior, bringing together disciplines such as process improvement, program delivery, customer and employee experience, responsible AI, sustainability, and the built environment as the work requires. At its core, Fjellhaus is driven by a fascination with the relationship between people and the world built around them. Our founder created the studio from a desire to understand that relationship more deeply, not simply how spaces and systems function, but how they are lived, used, adapted, and experienced over time.We believe better decisions begin with paying attention to what is actually happening.A note on the name
Fjellhaus draws from fjell (mountain) and haus (house), a nod to the relationship between the natural world and the places we build within it.
